Loralee
explains, “On April 24th, our kids performed in Taunton, MA at the Step Up To Dance Tour, and won the regional competition.
A few weeks later, on May 8th, they performed in Fitchburg, MA, winning a second Step Up To Dance Tour regional competition.
Both of these regional wins placed them for the Nationals to be hosted in Manchester, N.H. in July. I couldn’t have
been more proud of each of them for all of the hard work!” On Friday, July 16th, Loralee’s Dance Studio entered
the National Dance Competition. They performed three routines, winning within their respective categories. Out of 95 routines
performed for the day, they won first place – over all – taking down the highest score. The following day, Loralee's
students performed four routines and again, won each of them within their respective categories. Out of 129 routines performed
for the day, they took 1st place, 3rd, 4th and 8th—an amazing feat!
Loralee adds, “Our students entered
seven routines and took home 1st place in all categories they entered—just incredible! They won five Platinum Awards
and two High Platinum Awards…one in the Duet/Student Choreography category, two in the Class category (18 or more dancers),
and four in the Group category (4-8 Dancers).”
Besides some serious bragging rights, all of the dance students
received trophies, as well as scholarships.
